is a thin copper wire coated with electroluminescent semiconductors, polymers and a thin transparent metal film. Neon Trimtm emits a beautiful 360° uniform light throughout the entire length.
Electrically, Neon Trimtm is a light emitting capacitor. The capacitive structure is developed with the light-emitting electroluminescent semiconductor layer sandwiched between two conductive electrodes. When AC voltage is applied between the two electrodes and exceeds a well-defined threshold value, the semiconductor material between the two electrodes emits light.
For full brightness, an inverter is used to convert DC into AC power at the optimal frequency which Neon Trim requires (200-2000Hz). Multiple levels of brightness can be achieved by adjusting the output voltage and/or the frequency of the inverter. It can be operated, though more dimly, by connecting directly to electrical mains ( 220/110V AC).
Neon Trimtm is a unique, patented, linear, wire-like continuous light source producing a cool light.
