Needs

We are able to purchase some nationally-known brands of medical products and home products for a small recovery fee. We can also get medical equipment for just a small recovery fee through International Aid, a missionary supply organization; this equipment is completely refurbished and is set up electrically to European standards, which we use in Ukraine. Because of this, you may prefer to donate money for this type of supply; however, any kind of donation is appreciated!

February, 2001

I went to a house of refuge recently, and when I saw that they had kids off the street that were only two years old, it broke my heart. The head of the house of refuge said that if they went to the street every day, they could get children like that!

The government has already told me that they have 311 children that they will place in our care, but, friends, we cannot do it without your help! God is able, and we here in the U.S.A. need to agree for the building and everything that is needed! When we get the building, we will be able to give these children the material necessities, but also Jesus Christ!

Last year, when we made a request for a van in the Ukraine to transport the Cerebral Palsy children and to take food to the street children, we were told that we could purchase one for $7000. To date, we have received $3500 towards the purchase of the van. In January, 2001, the price of the van came down to $6800, so this means that we still need $3300 urgently.

Last month alone, I spend $400 US in taxi money just to transport the Cerebral Palsy children to and from doctors, etc., and taking humanitarian aid to the families of these children. Also, for transporting medical supplies and food, we're unable to use normal public transportation. Not only is this van a necessity to our ministry here now; it would be a tremendous savings in many ways.

Please pray about this need, and tell others also!

I just made arrangements for the next container that is to be shipped from the U.S. in the second week in March. This container will take office equipment, clothing, and medical supplies, and possibly bed clothing for the orphanage (for when we get it - we're preparing for it by faith). This container will cost us a minimum of $3500, and maybe as much as $4000 to fill. We need those funds immediately, so please be praying for us and with us!

Hooked on Phonics

Does anyone have a program for language called "Hooked On Phonics" by the Gateway Learning Corporation? We are in need of it for teaching. This helps us and also increases the ones who work with the people coming to minister.

Needed: Medical team for children with cerebral palsy in Kiev, Ukraine. A medical team is also needed to go to the southeast of Ukraine and help the street kids.

Our daughter, Carmel, is continuing to work on containers for us. Her needs:

#1 She needs a faithful worker to work with her on the container.

#2 She also needs people to get, and sort, good, clean, warm clothing to send, with no tears or buttons gone. the clothes have to be clean; there is now a law that says that the clothes have to be in hot water so many minutes before they are packed.

#3 We need the money to buy food for the street children

#4 We need medicine for the sick kids that doesn't cost an arm and a leg

#5 We need money to buy a container, send it, and get papers for it
